Garden Metamorphosis

Last winter it was hard to imagine the garden would EVER return to a warm place bursting with bright, cheery flowers, playing host to slow, easy moments. But God keeps his promises and everything is born anew. He also knew that by giving us winter, spring is so much more pleasant! Below are the images from my winter garden post - - though I find even this barren landscape to be brimming with beauty. . .

As the months have passed, the peacefulness of winter melted into the renewal of spring . . .

And the renewal of spring gave way to the flip flops of summer . . .

Behind the small vegetable garden, a glimpse of a future Met Monday post - - the potting shed currently under construction.

Let's see that metamorphosis one more time.

  2. Hi Angela,
WOW! I live near Houston, Texas and we don't have quite the transformation you have in your area. I can hardly believe that your plantings come back after the cold weather and snow. And they really came back to showcase all their beauty. I love all the color and your sitting area. Everything looks so pretty during all 4 seasons! You have such changes to look forward to each year, thanks for sharing!

  3. Your garden is beautiful in both seasons, although, I have to admit I prefer the flowery and green pictures! : ) I had just about had it with snow by the beginning of the year and we just go so much.

  6. What a beautiful garden....one of my favorite sayings is "Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly"....the winter snows look like the end of a garden but really it's just resting, waiting to burst forth in spring and become your "butterfly".

  7. Oh my goodness. Your garden is stunning. I so enjoyed all of your pictures. Wow. Such an unreal contrast from the winter, however I thought even the winter pictures were pretty. You asked if I had recently done a post about a rug in my kitchen. Sorry, it wasn't me and I didn't see the post so I can't help you find it. Hope you do. Hugs, Marty

  9. Love your arbor! It wasn't me with the blue and white dishes. I'm more addicted to the pink/mulberry transferware. Don't you hate when you forget where you saw something!
